This month marks our ten-year anniversary and while I’m not normally one to toot my own trumpet, I’m feeling pretty chuffed! What started as a spare-room side hustle has now grown to occupy a whole garden studio, employs two other people, supports me full time and has given me the flexibility to spend time with my lovely boys!

As I get to draw for a living (which is all I’ve wanted to do since aged 6) to celebrate this joyous occasion, I’ve created two very special limited edition anniversary prints – Brixton and London.

Rather than the signature monochrome style, we thought we’d go for something extra-special for our birthday. Both anniversary prints are printed on gold card contrasted with a deep navy overlay to really bring the original illustrations to life. They are also limited edition of only 50 of each design, with each one personally signed and numbered by me to make every print unique!

The first print in the collection is an updated B for Brixton print, I just had to include this in the anniversary collection as it was the first location and first print, I ever sold. Since then, we reckon we’ve sold over 45,000 prints so to have had this stem from one Brixton drawing is pretty amazing.

This Brixton print differs from our original print and includes other places that have made Brixton iconic in the last 10 years. The Ritzy, Salon, Windrush Square, Naughty Piglets, Effra Social and Bookmongers all feature in the print along with many more pubs, cafes, and restaurants.

London is one of the greatest inspirations for my work, so the second print pays homage to all the places that make London so unique. There would be no Location Letter collection without the initial London letters, so this is my way of showing my appreciation for the wonderfully dynamic and inspiring city I live in.

This design includes the Shard, Covent Garden, Shoreditch, Hyde Park and of course, the signature London bus as well as much, much more. All these iconic landmarks, boroughs and silhouettes are intricately linked together to spell out ‘London’ in the classic LucyLovesThis style.

I also want to thank our very lovely customers – with 45,000 prints sold, that’s about 45,000 amazing customers who have chosen to celebrate where they love with one of my designs and I couldn’t be more grateful! Meeting our amazing customers at markets and fairs is one of the things I’ve missed most in lockdown, but I’ve loved growing our Insta community and every time you share a picture of my designs up in your house, I grin from ear to ear.

Without such a truly wonderful customer base championing our small business, we wouldn’t be where we are today! So, a very big and genuine thank you for all your support over the last 10 years!
